Vessels
Publication Design

This publication interprets the experiences of gender questioning; understanding how our identity is impacted by our own experiences, and by our participation in our offline and online social circles.

The title stems from the relationship between gender identity, on and offline media. Despite the form our vessels take, our physical and digital forms will only ever continue to be a manifestation of everything we are internally.

This ideology is reflected on the front cover, through the depiction of an abstracted form to represent a vessel, a form we interpret for ourselves.

The pages are split evenly between pink and blue paper to appear outwardly as the traditional binary. Despite the transition in page color, the content will continue to flow throughout a section. A metaphor that juxtaposes the outward and internal representations of gender identity.

The extent of this content does not encapsulate the experiences and complexities of gender identity as a whole. Some of the information was altered in some ways to support the desired narrative. The information included within this piece is in-part influenced by my own environment and access to resources, and holds constraints limited by the project bandwidth.
